Bassett, also founded what today is well known as Bassett Furniture Industries. Employing over 1,200 people in factories based in Galax, Virginia, and Elkin, North Carolina, Vaughan-Bassett is extremely proud of the fact that over 95 percent of their furniture is crafted here in the United States by American employees. Most of the furniture they manufacture consists of wood solids and wood veneers grown and harvested near our plants in the Southeast.
