Catnapper Furniture, part of Jackson Furniture, got its start in 1933 when W. Ray Jackson began manufacturing stationary sofas and chairs. From that humble beginning, Catnapper went on to become a prominent supplier of reclining sofas, recliners, sectionals, and gliders. In 1941, W. Ray Jackson purchased Cleveland Chair Company, making them one of the largest family-owned furniture companies in the United States. Since then, Catnapper has produced a number of innovative recliners and chairs including Heat & Massage recliners, the Pow'r Lounger, the Drop-Down Table in motion sofas, and the Pow'r Lift Reclining Chairs.
